A good Parian jug or pitcher decorated with a blue and pink trailing plant design with gilding, and a Greek key design around the rim.
Parian domestic wares were made throughout the 2nd half of the C19, plain, tinted or decorated with coloured enamels and/or gilding. This jug is illustrated in a coloured photograph at the beginning of The Parian Phenomenon together with other domestic wares and statuettes.
Condition: This jug is in excellent condition.
