A charming Parian bust of Summer with corn cockles and wheat in her hair.
The bust is by Copeland, from the 1870 sculpture by Malempré, with this copy marked for July 1893.
This bust is illustrated in the Parian Phenomenon p 182, Fig 594 together with its companion piece Spring (also available) and in Robert Copeland’s book “Parian - Copeland’s Statuary Porcelain” page 228 fig B79.
This bust is in perfect condition.
