A good Parian bust of Arthur Wellesley, later Duke of Wellington, sculpted by Carrier-Belleuse, showing the Duke in his middle years wearing his medal depicting St George and the Dragon. The bust has the Minton ermine mark under the socle with numeric date of July 1852 and a workman’s mark. The bust is attached to the separate socle with a bolt.

Condition Excellent. There is a short firing line behind the right jawbone between ear and collar.
