A little Parian Bust of Gladstone, possibly by Robinson & Leadbeater

A particularly small, finely detailed Parian bust of Gladstone with an integral square socle, possibly by Robinson and Leadbeater but unmarked.  The model is identical to the busts of Gladstone produced by the Stoke on Trent firm of Robinson and Leadbeater in several sizes. Height 17cm (6¾”)

William Ewart Gladstone (1809 – 1898) was a politician (initially a Tory, later a Liberal) who served 4 terms as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom.
