A delicate and finely moulded Parian bust of a veiled woman by Robinson and Leadbeater. The bust is attached to a separate socle. This bust is unmarked but is illustrated on p101 in the R & L photographic archive dating from the 1880s. Height 23½ cm (9¼ ").
The way in which the thin veil highlights the features of the woman's face is a very subtle effect.
Condition. This bust is in excellent condition. It has a small manufacturing “burst blister” on the rear.
