A Parian bust of Spring by Copeland, sculpted by Malempré in 1870. This copy is dated 1886. The piece shows the lovely young woman with crocuses in her hair. This bust is illustrated in The Parian Phenomenon page 182 fig 594 and in Robert Copeland’s book “Parian - Copeland’s Statuary Porcelain” page 228 fig B78. Separate socle.

This bust has a tiny chip to the top of the socle but is otherwise in perfect condition.
