A serene bust of a woman with a sculpted headdress representing Charity. The rare bust dates from the Kerr & Binns period (1852 – 1862) and is attached to the socle with frit. No marks. The bust is illustrated in “The Parian Phenomenon” in the extract from the Worcester shape book on page 206 fig 681.
Height 28.5cm (11¼“)
Condition. Good. Professional restoration to a small chip at the front of the headdress and some fine speckling to the front of the bodice.
