A pair of tinted parian figures probably representing virtues ('innocence', 'prudence','justice','modesty' and so on). The figures are both delicately tinted and the clothes of each figure are painted with scattered flower heads. The bases are painted to emulate marble. The figures are unmarked. Heights 39 cm (15.3") and 38 cm (15").
Condition. The figure with her arms crossed across her chest is in excellent condition with no damage or restoration. The figure raising her finger to her chin has a small chip to the edge of the base at the back. Please see our images.
