A lovely group of the Happy Mother by Copeland showing the seated young mother holding her child up in the air, dating from c 1867.

 This group is illustrated in Robert Copeland’s book “Parian - Copeland’s Statuary Porcelain” page 107 fig GP35 and is marked “Copeland”.

 

Size: 30 cm high x 23cm wide (12” x 9”)

 

Condition: Two very minor flakes to top of base at rear, possibly from manufacture. Very faint firing line to base near left chair leg. Otherwise this group is in excellent condition.
