A lively and realistic Parian group of two dogs and a game bird by Copeland after the sculpture by Mêne, c 1870.
This group is unmarked but is identified as Copeland and illustrated in the “Parian Phenomenon” page 178 figure 578.
Size: 19cm high x 28cm wide (7.5” x 11”)
Condition: Very small chips to front right and back left of base. The front dog has been broken off through the legs and neatly repaired. There is a small firing flaw near the foot of the rear dog.
