A Worcester Parian bust of War

A good Parian bust of War by Worcester, dating from around 1860, fixed to a separate socle with slip. This handsome bust, wearing a slight frown, shows good detail of the snake headdress and the armour. Unmarked. Height 33.7 cm (13.2")

This bust is illustrated in the Parian Phenomenon page 203 figure 668 where it is stated that the bust was made by J. Stephan for James Lane.
